Refresh Tips for your Park Cedar Apartment

Refresh Tips for your Park Cedar Apartment

  |     |   Park Cedar Living

January is now in full swing here in Wisconsin, and as the bitterly cold temperatures take hold, January can begin to feel tedious. The remedy? An apartment refresh. Sprucing up your apartment not only keeps you busy but also provides a much needed reset after the holiday season. Here are some tips and tricks to get you started.

Out with the old and in with the new.

January is a great month to clear out clutter. From your closets to your kitchen, there are likely at least a dozen things you can give away. The question to ask yourself is whether you’ve used something in the last year. If not, it’s likely you won’t miss it if it’s gone. Donating your used items is an easy way of making your home feel more spacious and organized, while also giving to those in need. Small changes make a big difference.

While you may wish you could replace all your furniture, there are smaller ways to make your home feel brand new this January. As a renter, it’s important to be mindful of any changes you make, but investing in some new curtains, bedding, art, and rugs can bring your home to life. And if you’re not in the mood to shop, or your bank account is recovering from the holidays, simply rearranging your furniture is a simple way to bring you out of your January funk. Home is where the heart is.

Another great way to change your perspective is to connect with those you love in your environment. December is typically the month to gather with loved ones, but the January blues remind us how important it is to keep in touch once the festivities die down. Why not host a craft night to build the Lego sets you got for Christmas? Or host a gift swap to switch out the gifts that aren’t a great fit for you. You could even host a neighborly gathering in our community room (with kitchen and terrace access) to get to know your neighbors. Either way, bringing that New Year energy into your home will help you feel refreshed.

What’s on your list this January?
